I was born on July 4th, 1961 at
Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas....and grew up in Plano,Texas. Plano is
about a 20 minute, non-heavy traffic day, drive north from downtown Dallas on
North Central Expressway ( US75 ). I went to and graduated from Plano schools.
Below is the pic fom my Alumni Directory's book cover of Plano Senior High
School. I have an older sister and 2 older brothers. My parents are divorced and
still live in the Dallas area.
After graduating I went into the
United States Air Force. From January 1980 to January 1982 I was stationed at an
Air base called "Camp New Amsterdam ". It was in a town called Soesterburg, The
Netherlands. The picture below is the patch we wore on our uniforms there. The
crest was designed by Walt Disney. The crown was added later. Our unit had the distinction of being the only foreign military unit in the world to bear the Royal Crest of another nation on our unit patches. Click here to read the history of this most amazing and beautiful Air Base in Holland.
I was attached to the 32nd
Tactical Fighter Squadron, USAFE. I was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force
and worked on the F-15 Eagle, pictured below.
This pic was taken by an unknown
gentleman I found in the American Legion magazine ad's that I wrote to in trying
to get an origional patch from him exactly like the one pictured above. But the
patch he did send me had been slightly redesigned by that time. He also sent
this pic of an aircraft stationed there at the time he was there. This next pic
is of the barracks I lived in while stationed there.
Yes it was a cool place to live
while in the Air Force. While I was stationed there I saw my very first white
Christmas. It snowed 12, fluffy and beautiful inches of white snow, one week
before we Americans celebrated Christmas, the Dutch celebrate totally different
naturally, and it stayed there till the day after the American holiday. It was
awesome !! From there I went to Alamogordo, New Mexico till April 1, 1983. I am
still waiting for Uncle Sam to say " April Fools" we need you back. LOL. While
at that base I worked on the T-38 Talon, a trainer aircraft. Our mission there
was to train pilot's to be fighter pilot's.
The above pic was sent to me from
a gentleman that contacted me through ClassMates.com .
I am now living in Pyatt,
Arkansas.
I moved to Pyatt, Arkansas
because of Dallas. The city has gotten too big and too fast for me. I needed a
change of pace and lifestyle so to speak . Concrete city verses beautiful
scenery? Give me another reason why not to move ! LOL. Pyatt is a town of about
250 people. It has the country feel to it that I have so longed for. This entire
area can be so beautiful in the spring as the trees and nature starts her
blooming. Then in the fall, the fall colors are so awesome here. It's
breathtaking in some areas.
Pyatt is in far North Central
Arkansas close to Bull Shoals Lake. Here are links about Marion County and it's county seat, The City of
Yellville , Baxter County and it's county seat of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Boone County with it's county seat of Harrison, Arkansas.
If your still not familiar with this area, it's in the Ozark Mountains of
Northern Arkansas.
I took the picture below on the Bent Spur Angus Ranch, in Marion County, Arkansas, Owner: Don Johnson, in the fall of 2005.
I am an animal lover. Here are a
few pics of some pets I have had or still have.
This is Angel. And rightfully named also. She has been an Angel in many ways. She came to me after a prayer on my front porch in the summer of 2004. I had asked the Lord to bring me happiness into my life after being depressed over losing my Chow. And on July 2, 2004, she came to my home. And has been here so far ever since. I am telling you that she shows me things I could never learn from people about Love. She brings smiles to me often and all I can say is, Thank you Jesus.
This is Teddy. She's a Chow and
the pet that I use to have for about 10 plus years until March 2004. She was so loyal and was always getting my love. When
I was home, she was never more than a few feet away from me.
Here is Sheena. She's part
Alaskan Husky and part Shepard. She now lives with my mom. This goofy dog is the
only one I know of who's tail, when she's giving her happy wag, goes in circles
instead of side to side. She's my first baby though and I Love her. I miss her
now.
And this is Zeke. Got the hint
that I like Chow's ? LOL. Whole lot of brushing went on with him.
This cat came to me as a stray.
Like most cat's I have had in the past. When I found her she was having a
miscarriage I think. I took her in and look at what she rewarded me with. LOL.
